302 build

Default 302 build

Im building a 302. im getting it cleaned and bored 30 over. im putting gt40 heads, staged3 with double springs with o rings. im also putting in a b303 cam. the question i have is can i put a 400 crank in this motor and if not whats the highest i can go for the most horsepower.

Well from what i can tell your lost! A 4in stroke in a 302 block IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! You can turn down a 351 crank and make that happen! Double springs with o-rings???? If you o-ring a head its around the CC where the head mates to the cylinders! unless you are going high compression its a null option! the double springs are dumb for a B-cam plus you match the springs to the cam! just get a single beehive for the bcam! plus if you use a bcam just do a stock rebuild, because you are shooting for the 200hp range!

umm wow....one ef'ed up build here we come.........get some real heads and a rea cam and there is no just swap the crank, you wanna build a 331 or 347 so be it = stroker = crank, piston and rod swap and bore block
