Default Cooling Question

I want to make sure my car isn't over heating at all. For those fox owners that have the gage with the word Normal spelled going from top to bottom on your left side....where does your needle get too and stay? While city driving and highway driving? Mine does not get above the M in normal but I wonder if that is still too hot. I am in average temps of 110 here in Texas but I just want to double check. It seems when I am on the highway the temp drops a lot but city driving it hangs around the M and A mostly.

Am I good there or too hot?

That is a little too high for me but others it may not be, get a numerical gauge and get a number readout!

Mine runs about the second line it dosent have normal but thats about 180-190 with the fan on! that would be around the o and r!

What temp thermostat are you using, in this Texas heat down here at FT.Hood I am using a 180 thermostat and it keeps nice and cool.

How hard is it to install one of those?

buy the guage, run the mechanical sensor out to the left front of the engine where your factory sensor is located take it out and put the new mech sensor in and then mount the guage in the car!

Going to order a gauge here soon. I was looking at the car, the sending unit looks easy to install. My only question now is where did you all put the wire through your firewall? I noticed a good place might be through the hood latch cable. Would that work? Any other ideas?
