Newbie looking for advice!
Ok, so I am brand new to this forum and new to the Mustang world. I recently bought a 1995 Mustang GT after swearing I would never own a Mustang and I love it! It definitely needs some work, but it's gonna be my work in progress. What I need is help coming up with a good parts list. Money is not so much as an issue as time and knowledge. I've got an idea of how I want it to look and what I want done to it, but need guidance as to where and what parts to buy. I was looking at buying a new Steeda Crate motor. I want to super charge it, will my stock motor be able to handle that or what do I need to do? I want to spend about 5-6k just in parts under the hood. If someone can help me out with a list of parts and prices, that would help me immensely. Also, I need help finding a good looking body kit. I don't want something that just screams look at me, just something clean and subtle that will turn heads. I have looked and not seen much for my year. Again, any help would be much appreciated for a newbie!
Welcome to the board!
I am not very knowledgeable of the Fox bodies, but do check out the Fox body subforums for all the info you would need:

Thanks! My ultimate plan is a full fun street car! I wanna be able to the strip and tear it up, then drive home. Smoke the **** out of all the ricers in town. Just something really to have fun in, but still be a daily driver.
Here are some suggestions I think you can get around 300HP out of and run ~high 12s.
1. Edlebrock Aluminum Performer heads
2. GT-40 or '93 Cobra upper/lower intake
3. '93 Cobra Mass Air Flow (MAF) unit or something of similar calibration
4. Fuel pressure regulator & gauge (~28psi)
5. 24lb injectors
6. 155 lph fuel pump
7. .373 gears
8. 1.7 roller rockers
9. Ford Racing F303 cam or similar lift/duration specs
10. Pro-5.0 shifter (so you can have more responsive shifting)
11. King Cobra clutch
12. Adjustable clutch quadrant
14. Cold-air induction kit
15. 2 or 3 chamber 2.5in flowmaster mufflers
16. 2.5in exhaust pipes
17. 1-5/8" Long tube headers
18. Short x-pipe (catted if you need to pass emissions testing)
19. Subframe connectors
20. Lowering springs of your choice
21. Swapping out to a 1993 Cobra computer works well if using the Cobra MAF
It seems that all of this can fall within your $5-6K budget for sure. If you're doing the work yourself. Yes, this is just one opinion and combination of mods to quicken up your Stang but I've built one with similar specs (89 Hatch) in the past and had a lot of fun on and off the track. Obviously, there are other mods to be done but stuff like this may be in your range. At least this might get you going on your research. Good luck!
