FT SHOCKS UPPER PLATE

Default FT SHOCKS UPPER PLATE

Do the upper plates hav bushing that go bad, when looking at the upper part of the shocks under the hood they seem to be off to one side of the upper plate, thanks for any help

yes, they are rubber bushings and can go bad. Its called a strut mount. You might want to consider swapping them for some camber/caster plates.

They make replacement bushings for the factory strut mounts, but you're better off to just pick up a set of cc-plates. At UPR Products, we have them as low as $116 with the MF.com forum discount. They give you more adjustability and much better steering response!

Do yourself a favor and don't cheap out when buying CC plates, The plates above are complete crap! How do I know? I just removed a set from my car and threw them in the trash. The metal is thin and cheesy, the pillow ball mount will clunk and rattle after about a year. Get a nice set like the J&M, Hotchkis, or Maximum Motorsports.

Maximum Motorsports stuff is nice. Only suspension Ill buy anymore.
