Default Tall Guy Fox Mustang?

I am 6' 5" and own a 90 LX Hatch. I have been debating selling the car because I don't fit. I grew up around Fox bodies and this one is super clean so it's tough to sell. I am looking for suggestions on how to get more head room and be comfortable.

Right now I am test fitting a Corbeau A4 standard seat with Corbeau's low profile seat bracket. The seat bracket will not work without some modification. It hits the trans tunnel. Currently I have the bracket mounted on a set of seat extenders to lift up enough to work. With this setup I can sit with good posture and my hair just barley rubs the headliner. If I was to order this seat I would purchase the wide version with an extra inch shaved off the seat cushion and I would find a way to make the bracket work. That combo should give me a decent amount of head room. I may even be able to wear a helmet. My fear is once I am sitting so low with my knees up high I will still have comfort and back issues.

Any other tall guys on here that love Fox Mustang and have came up with a good solution?

Thanks,
Rob

My seat goes fully back. The leg room is ok. I am more concerned about the head room.

I have those. Problem is they give more leg room but take away head room.

Just trying to exhaust all options before giving up on Foxes. Thought maybe someone else had found a good solution. Selling it next spring and buying a S197 is an option.

I just tilt my seat back, would you not be comfortable with that? I fit in with an autocross helmet which is pretty thick

Ya ,I would say too tall for fox or sn95.Will need a different style car like maybe an 03-04 mustang or newer....it's a shame found the car you like and too tall.I'm 6 ft and slim and fit comfortable in my fox......

You might have the same problem in the SN-95 models. I'm 6'2" and it's a snug fit. My 94 GT is lowered and I find that I sometimes have to use my arms to push myself up when getting out of the car. My 03 GT is better and feels like there is a bit more room. But nobody can sit behind me...unless its a small chick. I had a 91 GT a while back so I know what you're saying. I would say look into the 05-newer Mustangs.

Or maybe you can find a way to customize it. Maybe you can take the seat out and put some bolts in a bit farther back...maybe a shop can do something like that...
