I'd be concerned about quality of the regrind cam, you don't want an engine full of metal in 2-3000 miles.......

I have read about horror stories about the regrinds. I might even just stick with the stocker, and put 1.7 rr on the car. My problem is, if i spend to much on this set up, and a higher mileage motor, im still gonna want to go faster down the road. I go back and forth with this in my head, but think i need to just keep this build simple. And once i get this done, I can go buy the 351w my cousin has and really put down some real numbers!

just use the stock cam. It doesn't take long to do a cam swap if you want to down the road.

You need to find out if you have enough valvespring for a 1.7 rocker before you even try to install them.......
