Default GT's rust less ?

i may be looking for another mustang in the spring. may be a silly question but i was wondering if the GT mustangs are less prone to rust due to the ground effects protecting the body? I'm in the North

If anything I would imagine the effects package would just create another spot for water and salt to collect and sit, rather then get washed off.

They are WORSE. The GT is nothing special compared to a LX so don't start thinking there is....

My 93 is an original Cali car that migrated to TX and it is practically rust free. We will see how bad what little rust there is spreads this winter up here in Indiana when it sits......

i would guess also that more holes for the ground effects offer more places to rust. as well as the ground effects themselves rubbing through the paint, and or trapping sand/salt to speed it all up too
