Default cant down shift

I got a Tko 500 and it don't let me down shift unless I slow down. Wondering if those 5 speed are like that or do I have a cable problem. The cable is stock and the clutch is good and the flywheel is good. Also when I'm shifting I have to push the clutch pedal all the way down

You should be pressing it all the way down, regardless. You burn the clutch otherwise.
As far as your problem goes, you might want to look into an adjustable cable/quadrant setup.

if its adjusted properly...it should START to engage about 1 1/2 inches off the floor. any different than that and you need to adjust it.

im guessing its still partially engaged when your trying to downshift.

also you can give it some rpm to match the speeds and it'll go into gear easier. thats how you have to downshift tractor rigs

Well when it don't want to down shift I gave it some more rpm and it does down shift, but how do I fix that cause I don't think it should be that way.

Worn synchro's. They're worn out and not synchronizing the speeds of the shaft/gear so it won't downshift until they're close enough in speed it will "fall" into gear.

Checked the fluid level?

or the cable is too loose.

You said you need to bury the pedal to shift. That will definately make it hard to downshift because the clutch not fully disengaging.

As for fully depressing the clutch. In a proper set up, no fully depressing is not neccessary.

The transmission was just put on and before that I open the top of it and the inside look good even the mechanic was impressed with it. when I install the cable it was a little hard but don't know how hard it should be.

I got new info, well when I'm dragging the gear n I floor it the rpm goes up. I notice the tires aren't spinning n I can feel the car not going like it should. After that I smell the clutch burning. Can it be the clutch, not sure cause when I installed it was good. I'm just learning and trying to do the work myself cause I think that's the only way to learn. That's why I need you'll advise.
