Default comp box upper

ok Adder you where right that canfield intake was way to big for my setup lol.

with that being said im running a ported stock intake now. seems to be working out great especially for toque.

my question is if i can find a comp box upper really cheap like under $100 would it be worth putting on my car??? or would i be back to ZERO tq??

couple reasons why just the box upper, if i can get it cheap enough, i need the room for the valve covers to run catch can set-up . and looks cleaner

Fwiw, I think my dad has a comp box he'd let go for under $100. He's in Ohio...

the comp cams poly box was an awesome intake back in the day. I wouldn't run it with your turbo application though. I've personally seen them crack.

The reason I want a box style upper is the cleaner look and the easier access to the valve covers and stuf

this is unfortunately one place where you need to make wise choices, and not blindly throw parts at your car. Too large of an intake will kill your low RPM torque, and in your application, will hurt your spool times. If you are sticking to a 5.0l displacement, I wouldnt recommend anything larger than a TFS-R or Eddy RPM2. The box style manifold is goinf to be a bit much for your setup.... period.

you need to throw that stock lower in the scrap heap and buy a full manifold.
