Question Computer Tuning

Im having issues with my sn95, recently installed a E303 cam and a trickflow intake with spacer. Got the bigger MAF from bbk and 24lb injectors and a 70mm throttle body and an MSD pro billet distributor. bbk CAI and nitrous and still using the stock heads currently. I have done Nothing to the computer and have no idea where I should go. It surges at idle until its completely warmed up and then it tends to do better but is just kinda finicky. Any suggestions?

i'd look for vac leaks first. if you fix some...reset the computer.

if it still surges keep looking for vac leaks until you are CERTAIN there are none.

Does anybody have a good Vacuum Diagram? I have replaced a few of the lines from the intake but Im not real sure where else to look. How do I reset the computer after the vacuum lines are checked? Disconnect the battery but it still holds a charge right?

yeah just pull a battery cable for about 10 minutes.

you may notice that it runs horribly bad right away and wont even stay running without help...that just shows that you need to fix some things. after a while the computer will adjust and make it run ok...but performance will suffer because its accomodating for whatever condition it is having

on the vac lines...look at the passenger side firewall, where all the plastic ones are...look for cracks and brittle lines. on the can on the passenger fenderwell, look for rotted rubber lines, and near the dizzy coming from the intake to the fenderwell....long section of rubber line that can get chewed up passing the dizzy or the connectors get rotted.

Thanks guys I appreciate it! I guess that might explain why it throws a fit randomly till about 3 grand and then takes off like a bullitt. Is the heater/ac controls in the sn95 vacuum operated by any chance because it only works on defrost.. haha

I doubt a tuner is needed. EEC-IV can more than handle his mods.

GUFx can handle what he's got. CBAZA is a different story.

OP, go get the car tuned.
