I have a 90 mustang gt and im starting to plan out what im gonna do as far as paint and body.currently my car is currently black.im thinking about going satin black on the exterior.would it really be worth it to have the engine bay painted satin black or just leave it the factory black?it would be one hell of an undertaking to remove the engine and everything for engine bay paint but also if i did rattle can it id be afraid to have it not match either or hold up.let me see some opinions.this isnt getting done this minute but im in the planning stage right now thanks.

 

Short answer...No. Unless your building a show car or you just have a silly amount of time on your hands it's not worth it.

 

I wouldn't mind showing it but not anything major.maybe like little local car shows.things to that nature.
