Routing speedo cable

Default Routing speedo cable

hey guys, i was installing my new speedo cable yeasterday and it is comming in contact with my exhaust. my exhaust is bbk equal length shorties and 2 1/2" exhaust with h-pipe. does anyone have a diagram? thanks mike

Just put it anywhere where it won't contact the exhaust or moving parts. Doesn't have to be in a certain spot.

make sure you dont kink the cable or put it in a bind.

i got it routed without and kinks it is just comming in contact with the exhaust. i may just fab up some hangers so it stays away from the exhaust. thanks for the help mike

There should already be a hanger for it. I've got the same set up you do and there's an OEM hanger near the LH flange just past the firewall. If not, just take some galvanized aluminum and screw it down haha

Meh, that's what it's called, its pretty malleable stuff but its still really strong. Google it haha

What I'm saying is galvanizing is to prevent iron and steel corrosion. Aluminum naturally forms an oxide layer that prevents it from corroding. Sure you can galvanize it(covering it a layer of zing) but it does nothing.

Well I guess they galvanized it so it wouldn't form that oxide layer for some specific purpose, all I know is that I like to use it for tie downs an fasteners since it's stronger than regular aluminum and weighs just about the same
