Default Looking for some good mods!

Hey, i'm still fairly new at this and I'm looking for some good mods for my 88 mustang gt, so far I have picked out..

1: BBK Cold Air Intake
2: Ford Racing Polished Valve Covers
3: New Chrome Headers/Paint the Block
4: BBK Underdrive Pulleys
5: Venom High Performance Fuel Injectors - 24lb

If you guys could, give me some more mods to add on, links would be nice also!

Thanks

Fuel injectors are not needed. What is the current state of the car? Nearly stock?

Yes that is a waste of money until you plan on adding H/C/I and or more cubes!

hit up C&L for a 73mm induction kit and you can upgrade to a 65mm tb without any other changes and be fine.

The headers go ahead and get ceramic coated do it right the first time, why not the complete exaust if not already done!

Whats wrong with stock vlv covers new ones dont add anything!

What about a MAF conversion?

Alright ill look into that, I plan on getting a complete exhaust down the road. But it already has Shorty headers, H pipes to No cat/delete

Nothing is wrong the the current valve covers, just some idiot spray painted the block and covers and the paint dripped off and looks horrible. Just want it too look pretty.

Also I can't find anything for a 88 involving MAF. its all 89 up.

88 California cars had the MAF I think. He's suggesting looking at converting your car to a MAF set-up.

GEARS should be your first thing.

And only California cars had a MAF in 88.

Gears are a great mod. Exhaust is always nice. If you plan to do any racing a good set of drag radials are one of the best bang for the buck mods you can make.

well the biggest bangs for the buck are:

1) gears
2) nitrous
3) heads

you say "new" headers ?? do you mean long tubes over the shorties on there now ? chrome goes to crap fast...+1 on ceramic coated

if your talking another set of shorties....skip it

do the valve covers or just redo your existing valve covers...they are aluminum so you can polish them pretty easy for free

cold air does nothing really

injectors will do nothing...the stock induction when working properly will support 300 HP all day long

pullies will get you about 3 hp and risk charging problems. i did them on my '90 GT in about 1993, and will never do them again

another way to gain what you have already are cheater slicks like ET streets

NOT NITTOS !!!!!!!!!

dump some weight....every 100 lbs is like adding 10 HP

other than that...HCI

Get some experience racing before modifications. I had two years under my belt before I modified my stang(this is the sixth year I have had it). I'm still a noob.
