Default Paint Tips?

I'm looking to paint the Trickflow emblem on my R-series intake manifold. I was going to tape it off and spray it, but that's going to be a pain going around all the letters. Any other suggestions or is that probably my best bet?

I'm with 89 five eight, I used small hobby brushes on my Holley intake, and painted at an angle which helped me not go over the edges. It turned out nice.

Ok, well I tried taping and using the same rattle can I've used on everything else. Didn't come out too well, so I used aircraft paint stripper to take it all back off. Now I have a bluish (from the paint) and brown (paint stripper) stain on the aluminum. I've managed to clean most of it off, but I think I can still see it because I knew it was there before.

Anybody know the best way to clean the rest of it? I've used acetone, brake cleaner, and the mr. clean magic erasers so far.

how about you clean the letterings very well and then carefull put a dab of oil around the letters so that the paint doesn't stick...better than taping in my opinion.

2 tricks you may want to consider. Airbrush stencil which has a tacky side to ahere to surface and you trim out with exacto knife......or.......vasoline and acid brush around the outer edges of your paint area. Do not remove the vasoline until after paint has cured.

Acetone took most of it back off. I think i need to take more acetone and a tooth brush around a couple spots. I like the vaseline/oil idea, I'll try that

or you could just buy the touch up paint like i said earlier, thats got a very small brush, and if ya mess it up, it scrapes off with a knife.
