Default Plug gap question

I'm putting in some autolite copper plugs...should I stick with the stock gap of .54 with stock heads and cam?

nope....close it up

go with .048" now, or chase gremlins later, your call, depends how much free time you have

Will it run better closing them up?

Why would he need to close them up if he's near stock?

yes it can, and probably will. the reason is you have a 25 year old car. opening the gap up to maximize doenst do much, closing it however will make a tighter spark and you will most probably find it running better

You'll be fine with the stock gap.
