Does anyone know what the paint code for the lower portion of a foxbody GT is? The code on the inner door says "73" which translates to a Spruce in the Du Pont book of colors. The factory color is Titanium and I want it to stay that way. The sooner the responce, the better. Painting was suppose to start tomorrow but this is a crappy set back. Thanks in advance.

 

just pick a silver thats close you like...or get them to shoot it wth the color eye im too sick to rty and research for you right now sorry

 

your paint code is on a sticker like in the trunk or spare tire area.

 

The paint code is on the drivers door jamb on the ID tag.

In the 2nd attachment it shows the lower portion paint code YJ.

 

FWIW:
There appears to be different color codes on the door tags for the different years of car. Paint code 73 was used for the 87 and 88s, paint Code 76 for the 89s, paint code YJ for the 90s, paint code YG for the 91s, and back to paint code YJ for 92 and 93.



YJ= Grey Metallic Clearcoat

73= DUPONT COLOR: C8612

The other codes 76 and YG you’ll need to search.

Thanks everyone for your input, it was really helpfull. I decided to go with a little bit darker grey so that there is less of a contrast between the deep blue and titanium. Gotta say that this forum has been very helpfull. Thanks again.
