Default shifter cap

Today I picked up a used Hurst Comp shifter for the Fox minus the "cap" no problem I'll reuse the stock one. So I pull the stocker off and yup no cap in the hole. I was told to check Hurst shifter online. Will this be a problem if I cant't find one or will it work without it.

Thanks in advance.

If your talking about the little nylon bushing that goes in the cup on the shifter arm , then the answer is yes it will work with out it, but it will be hella sloppy and not very good.

Its called a shifter Cup Pivot Bushing or isolator, and you can get them in bronze now as well.

PS: Id have to go dig in my box of t5-t45 parts but Ive probley got a couple of the stock ones out there someplace.
