Default Accel 300+ Ignition Box install question

I'm installing a Accel 300+ Ignition box on my 5.0 HO. The only issue so far I'm confused about is where do I connect the (Purple) and (Orange) wires from the ignition box to the distributor. The Accel Instructions says to connect the purple wire to the purple & black wire from the distributor. Also connect the orange wire to the orange & black wire from the distributor. Any clue where these wires from the distributor might be? I'm using the stock Motorcraft.

Thanks,

your looking at the wrong set of instructions......no splicing into dizzy harness for a tfi set up.....it's done all with the coil like the msd set up....you need to make or purchase the tfi coil adapter :

Thanks for the response. I looked at the MSD instructions and its very straight forward but the Accel instructions are confusing. The wires coming from the Accel 300+ are colored different from the MSD and is throwing me off. So which set of instructions am I supposed to be looking at on the Accel website?

I gave you a link from American muscle....they don't show the tfi wiring specifically on their site but there is an adapter

this is a pdf......either buy the adapter harness or make your own.....since there are specific weather pack connectors, may be easier to buy the harness

http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...87920726,d.eXY

click on link...look at second page and second picture = harness....may have to call accel as I haven't been able to find a part number

I have the Adapter kit but everything is cut down the middle).. So I'm piecing it back together. My black connector (the Accel to factory TFI connector) is black and red instead of Black and white. My father gave me this kit. So it appears he thrown me into a struggle here. Thanks for your help though.

OOOOOOk. Everything makes since now. This is what I need to do:

Yellow wire: coil positive terminal
Brown wire: coil negative terminal
Black wire: Ground (Engine block)

Red wire: to your stock coil harness wires (+ side)
White wire: to your stock coil harness (- side)
wires
Purple wire: N/A
Orange wire:N/A
Green: Tach signal

I was confused about the purple and orange wires that supposed to be going to the distributor. Apparently I don't need those.

Thanks mjr46, I'll hook these up and try it out when I get home from work today. Believe it or not you've helped me with stang advice waaaay back in the day. I wanna say mid 2000's on issues(maybe 05, 06). It's crazy your still on these forums.

update: Car runs great now. Anyone reading this that is doing the same install, please make sure you have a good ground because I didn't at first and my rpm guage was flickering like crazy when i hit a bump in the road. I changed the ground wire to a better location.
