Default Building a stroker...

I pulled my engine due to low compression and I am about to take my block to a machine shop. I was on the fence about 331 vs 347 for a while. I started off leaning towards a 331 but now I am leaning more towards a 347.

I'll start by listing the parts that I already have. TFS top-end kit with 170cc heads, TFS#1 camshaft, 24#maf/injectors, and a FTI 2800stall torque converter. I was very surprised to see that the torque converter costed $679 and it is what has me leaning towards getting 11R205 heads and new cam on a 347.

I kind of got cold feet when it came time to drop off my engine at the shop. It's all ready to go and I have the cash in hand, but I am being indecisive right now. I am more certain about what to do with my AOD than I am my engine!

Alright, my engine builder advised to build a 331 for a street car because I am not going race. He also referred me to another shop for port work on my tfs top-end kit, heads and intake. It turned out that the 2nd shop does a lot of engine work for "Street Outlaws" because I live in OKC. I was surprised and excited after I found out. Anyways, Mike Henson said that he is familiar with the engine shop that I am using and he is going to coordinate with them on my build. It worked out pretty well for me today. I just didnt want to use my 170cc heads on a 331
