Default MBRP Catback install complete...love it!!

Just finished up my MBRP 3 " stainless street catback install. Took two hours laying on my back in driveway...not a bad install at all. Love the sound! My video skills are not good. Found this install on YouTube of the Aluminized system....totally accurate all the way through. Highly recommend the product!!

Yeah, that does sound great. I can't wait to install the MBRP catback on my 2011. I hope it sounds similar.

I recently purchased an MBRP XP street series catback exhaust (part S7258409) for my 2011 GT. The finish and welds are beautiful, as is the sound. On start up from cold, it is actually quite loud, but mellows down very quickly. Sounds great even under light acceleration, but really screams at wide open throttle. However, if you get up to highway speeds (under 75 mph) and put the cruise control on, it is just slightly louder than stock with virtually zero drone.

I do not recommend installing this using jacks and stands, as it was a bit of a pain in my a$$ and took me a little over 3 hours. Therefore, I would definitely recommend using a lift if you have access to one.

I have 2 small complaints:

1. The adjustable tips do not extend far enough past the valence for my taste, and I have the tips as far back as possible. It seems like the outlet flange on the actual mufflers should be a little longer. (pictures pending)

2. I could not get the tips centered correctly in the exhaust valence. In fact, I loosened everything up and tried to re-adjust everything to no avail. I ended up bringing it to a muffler shop and they confirmed that I had installed it correctly, but the hangars did not perfectly match the stock ones. Therefore, they had to heat the hangars and slightly bend them so that the tips could be centered properly.
