I would also be interested in where you had your Roush supercharger installed. I had talked to my local Ford Roush dealer about supercharging my previous 2008 Shelby GT and they would barely give me the time of day and weren't interested in doing an installation but could sell me one through the parts department.
Enjoy your new found power and maybe I'll see you around a cruise night sometime..

I'll PM you Bret! I don't want to irritate those who pay to advertise on this forum. I'd be happy to give you a referral! The guy I use is a great mechanic with a great reputation & he's closer to you then me. I'll even get you a little break on the cost.

I had a chance to drive the GT in "Sport Mode" today. It feels a lot more like a monster because the RPM's don't get down for economy purposes. It just a everyday driver when you drive it softly in the Regular Driving Mode, but it really wakes up in "Sport Mode" & when using the "Paddle Shifters". Best of both worlds!

Questions:

1. Does anyone have an opinion/facts on whether a GT automatic turns faster 1/4 mile times/speeds in "Sport Mode" or one of the other settings?

2. Does anyone have an opinion/facts on whether taking the lid off a 2015/16 filter box affects performance. Why ask? Because with the lid off you hear a little supercharger "whine" & me like!

(Air will come from the source of least resistance, so I suspect only air temperature could affect power. I don't think it would except in hot weather in traffic. It seems under WOT there would be enough air movement that it would make a difference. I think Roush created the air box to create a more refined installation which it did. With the filter box you'd never know it was super chargered. )

" Roush would be smart to offer a hand held "locked" to just one vehicle or supercharger. "
.
The FRPP ProCal hand held is locked to the car's PCM code.

I've been told that handhelds can't upload the Roush Tune, although I don't know that to be true. ????

Any type of tuning done to the tranny to handle the extra torque/hp? Such as recalibrating shift points, etc? I noticed your GT has the 18 inch tire with 255's? How is traction??

Forced induction would be near useless for me. I have a manual with 3.73s and you go through 1st gear quickly already, with a power adder the gear would be all but useless. Congrats on your blown GT dude!

I don't know for sure, but it feels great. My mechanic said the new auto trannys are great & he's seen 700+ HP have no trouble. When you go WOT & it downshifts it doesn't seem to be a jolt to the car. It seems pretty smooth.

I got the 18" tire for improved ride & traction is great with the auto trans. WOT off the line gives just a very little wheel spin. I suspect it is a combo of good traction control & blower not spinning up enough with the auto trans. OF course with a manual you could burn the tires off. Not my thing!

I haven't had the blower long enough to do too much experimentation as with traction control off, sport mode, paddle shifters, track lock, etc. Sport Mode does make it put out the power quicker by keeping the RPM/Blower speed up. Right now I'm just getting used to the car & trying to keep it in one piece! Off the line there is a little Blower lag, so it doesn't explode off the line which is fine with me. The scary thing is that it never seems to stop pulling harder even at 120 MPH! I suspect it would be much faster with a lower rear end ratio & sticky tires! As is, it looks like it is going to me a low 12 sec. car. Good enough for me! My thing is straight line acceleration from 30 to 80 when safe to do so.

Also I asked, & never got an answer from the forum as to a "Shock Tower Brace" that would work with a Roush Supercharger. Not necessary, as I haven't noticed any torque twisting like with my '08 GT. I guess the 2016 is stiff enough as is!

P.S. Anyone in the SoCal Area that wants to order a 2016... just PM me & I can get you a great price with no sales discussion. Just get the "exact" description of what options you want & you get a very low price with no discussion or pitches! .......... & NO, I don't make a nickel on it! I just have an "in" with a Ford Sales Manager that will take a very small markup on a"Customer Order". WHY? Because "Customer Orders" don't come out of their Ford allocation of "high demand" cars like Mustangs, so he doesn't mind selling them cheap! Cars ordered for the dealerhip's lot sell for high markups! It's just how they are marketed!

Example of what I mean: Here are the options I ordered.

LOL, you obviously haven't turned off traction control sense the supercharger was installed, I also respectfully suggest not to with your tire setup. All your WOT's under 70mph will not end well with traction control off. Please be careful, my car has violent power 1st, 2nd, and first part of 3rd (traction control off). It's a handful with 305 tires, can't imagine with 235 (I think that's what you have?).

I also think you may lose track/sport drive mode presets after Roush. I tried putting my car in track mode and couldn't turn off traction control and it shifted badly, it didn't feel right.

You should add a oil separator to that left side, you wouldn't believe the amount of oil it catches from going into the intake. Pretty simple to add.

Is your GT a Manual Shift... I assume? I suspect that makes a world of difference based in throttle control & clutching. Obviously if you spin it up in 1st gear it will be an animal. The automatic & traction control make mine very controlled with just a small burn out at WOT starts. Punching it in turns can get a little hairy because the RPM is up, etc. Mine works fine in "Sport Mode", although more aggressive requiring a little more care! I haven't tried in with traction control off yet. I'll do it with care!!!

(I received some questions about the supercharger, so this may be a repeat on past posts)

The Roush Supercharger is a lot of money unless you price a Shelby GT 500, or a GT 350. I'll get the extra investment back when I sell it because it will be competitive to some degree with a Shelby. With the automatic it is very safe feeling to drive just like a standard Mustang. You are only aware of the power if you "keep" the throttle open & then things start to go by very, very fast after about 20 MPH.. I used the "Track App" on the Mustang & it did 120 MPH in the 1/4 mile at 12.5 seconds which is scary fast. Frankly, I think I let up on the throttle before the 1/4 mile was over because it got a little scary on a back desert road. Where it is safer fun is from 30 to 80 MPH getting on an open freeway, or where it is safe to accelerate. It is also more aggressive in the "Sport Mode" because it keeps the RPM up on the supercharger & engine. It feels more like a manual shift hot rod there because it stays in gears longer & down shifts rather keeping the RPM up, but it's still like a standard Mustang in the regular driving mode. It appears that the mileage maybe a little better than it was stock unlike other such "hot rodding" approaches. It drives like a Mercedes Benz AMG high HP car, rather than a hot rodded car. Very smooth & sophisticated in every way, just a like a Mustang GT with another 235 HP added. No downside except the extra cost of the supercharger & an expert installation which is not cheap.
