Normal vs Sport Mode in 2017 GT
My apologies if this has been discussed before and if this is in the wrong forum, but I couldn't find an answer to my question. I just test drove a new 2017 GT yesterday and the salesman said that switching between normal mode and sport mode makes a difference in the ride of the car. The only thing I could tell was a difference in the RPMs of the motor. So my question is, what exactly does changing these modes do? I have looked here and in the owner's manual to no avail. Thanks in advance, Carrol

In a 2017 GT sport mode only affects the engine mapping. With the magnetic shocks on the GT350 and new 2018 Mustangs, there will be a difference in the ride quality. Honestly, I barely tell the difference on my GT350 however.

I'm not sure what you mean by engine mapping, proeagles, but you confirmed what I suspected. I think the salesman was trying desperately to sell me this car and would say anything to talk me into it. If it rode better, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Thank you!

This is the car that I was interested in:

I love the looks of this car, it's power with an 8 cylinder motor, and it's a convertible. But I also like a car that rides well. I realize this is a sports car. I've never owned a sports car before but I guess it is what it is. I may change my mind since it is my prerogative. lol
Thank you everyone for your opinions and help.
