Default Acceleration Hesitation

Hello all, 2017 Mustang GT Premium automatic. I've been getting a little more aggressive with my car lately and I have a hesitation when stomping the accelerator. It doesn't matter if I'm at a standstill or going 60mph. I'd love to get a squeal out of it when taking off but it's impossible unless I'm in line lock. Is this normal?

My 2017 does the same thing. I took it to the dealer and they said that's normal, but I don't believe them. Wish we could get this fixed but I don't know what to do either.

Try turning off traction control and have it in sport mode (and sport+ for Premium). That gives the best throttle response and you should be able to squeal your tires easily.

Also try downshifting using the paddleshifters if not flooring the gas while driving. If you floor the gas pedal quickly, it will downshift for you. Downshifting will give you more power.

I tried it in track mode and I believe that turns off traction control, but I will certainly try that. Thanks

Okay, I tried it and got the same results, a hesitation and no squeal. I'm really disappointed.

I hate to resurrect this post, but I traded in my 2017 GT for a 2020 GT and had the same problem. After joining the local Mustang group, there was a guy there that said he could fix my problem, among other things. After he tuned my car, I couldn't be happier. There is no hesitation, the transmission works so much better and it has a minimal increase in HP. It's like a new and much improved car. Ford should take tuning lesson from him. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts on this.
