Default E85 Q’s

Asking for opinions and tips from those experienced. Would it be worth it to go E85 on my 2015 S550. Current mods: Running 105mm Roush CAI, Roush Axle’s, Roush X-pipe, & Cat deletes. Should I wait till after I’ve upgraded my mani, & run longtubes? Does it pay to be patient in this situation or does it not really matter? Appreciate the tips in advance.

E85 runs cooler than gas, but I don't if that matters much unless you are boosted, or maybe doing long track sessions. Former coworker ran E85 in his Caddy CTS V, but he tracked his car and modified it heavily to where it put more than 700 hp to the wheels.

You'll gain about 20whp from a flex fuel tune. Lund has a great flex tune.

Just wondering, how much can you gain with a tune using regular gas? One other thing to note is that E85 has less energy density than gas, so you're likely to get worse fuel mileage (I suppose this is something that those of that own GT's generally don't care much about). If E85 is significantly cheaper than gas, then it might not matter, but something to consider if prices are not too far apart. I don't really pay attention to E85 prices, so I don't know if it's better or worse for the wallet.

Generally an E85 tune, headers and a cold air intake can put a 2018 around 500 HP at the tires. with your mods you should easily hit that mark and some. you have to retune the car every time you change from e83 to straight gas. the gains should be noticeable.
