Default Front Grill replacement

My 2018 GT Premium grill had a crack in the upper grill The crack is now a hole.

Front grill

Looks like OEM is almost 400 bucks + labor would be 700 to 800,

Thinking about doing it myself with a metal aftermarket one.

Anyone have any recommendations on good vendors for grills ( or any parts for that matter) and if the process is worth doing (i.e.. pain the the a$$)?

Much Thanks

The process is a bit of PITA. You have to remove the front fascia/bumper in order to access the release tabs. Look up youtube videos on the process. I don't know if on the 2018 there are some hidden/hard to find connectors like on my 2017.

Once you have it off, make sure you have a good place to put it down. You have to lay it on the painted surface and it will take some pressure to release the tabs. Something like 30 tabs hold the grille in place.

Easy, pretty much straight forward.
- Put Front end On Jack stands, high enough to crawl underneath front of car without issue.
- Remove Upper radiator cover
- Remove the lower splash panel which bolts to the front lower bumper section.
- Make sure all bolts and plastic push locks are removed so their isn't anything holding the front bumper to anything prior to removal.
- While underneath, reach up and disconnect the Turn/Fog and Headlight connectors or disconnect them when you pull back the front bumper to remove.
- Remove the Upper Bumper mounting bolts
- Remove the two left and right fender well bolts, (I remove my front tires when I do this makes it much easier.
- Get an extra hand to pull bumper up and forward (Disconnect the rest of the light connectors you couldn't reach from underneath).
- The Grills are held in by clamping Tabs. Be careful when using a screw driver to separate the tabs to be able to pull out the grill.
Take your time, set a day aside to do, preferably in garage where it is warm.
Good Luck

I had hit and run Home depot parking lot damage. The low life that hit my car did not leave a note. He(she) damaged the paint protection, and cracked the upper grill. Replaced the paint protection at my local Paint protection shop. I ordered a Bullet Ford OEM upper and lower grill. I had local body shop remove old install new. Lobor was about $100.

A low life ran into my 2020 GT in Home depot parking lot. Had grill damage. Bought a Bullit Ford upper and lower grille. don't remember what paid for grilles but local body shop took off old and installed new for about $100. It requires removing bumper covers. they looked up time required and thats what it cost?
