Poll: Oil Usage?
Way off topic, but way too funny not to share. When I was in college I worked for a small Ace Hardware in a college town. We had a door to door salesman come by the shop peddling his new pet-safe/pet-friendly anti-freeze. He said it was so safe a human could drink it... And he did! What he didn't know was that a few drops was ok, but we were like his 5th sales call of the day. He was drinking about 4oz. a pop. He stood there for a minute, his eyes rolled in the back of his head, and passed out right there on the floor. We had to get him an ambulance who rushed him to the hospital to pump his stomach. To throw the guy a bone for trying so hard, we took a couple of cases on consignment, put it on the end cap near the Iams and Eukanuba dog food we sold, and sold a ton of the product that winter. He never drank it again, but he was sure thankful for the business we gave him.
4500 miles, mostly moderate driving, (only 2 or 3 redline runs). Oil level just above lower level. 2 questions. The manual says not to add oil until the level drops below the lower dipstick pinhole. would it be a good idea to top it up or let it drop below the lower level before adding oil as recommended. Also, is the difference between the upper and lower level pinholes one quart of oil?
