Question Oil Filter Question

Anyone know what Royal Purple oil filter is designed to work with the new 5.0 Ford Mustang GT V8 engine? I have a case of RP oil and want to use a RP oil filter if possible with the RP oil. Their website does not show one for the 5.0 listed yet. Anyone know?
Thanks in Advance,
Phil

The auto parts is still showing a Fram PH2 for the new 5.0 so if RP made one for the 4.6 they may not change it, but I'd make some phone calls because it looks like the Motorcraft part number has changed.

Thanks. I think the Motorcraft filter is a FL-500S for the new 5.0 and that filter is probably ok. It is just that I want the best I can get so a RP or K&N will be used. After looking at the RP filter, it looks to me to be built the best and is suppose to flow a lot of oil.

The FL-500S is a great filter; its got a silicone ADBV and has a good balance of filtration and flow IMO; plus its only 5 bucks in most places.

I don't have any problem with anyone using the FL-500S. I buy them for my wifes Ford Edge. However in my 5.0, I want the best and I think a K&N or Royal Purple oil filter are the best of what is out there. Just a personal preference but from what I have read, the flow is better in the RP filters and they are built more for performance applications.

I've looked into the RP oil filter as well but couldn't find any information for the new 5.0 engines and which filter is called for.

I ended up just picking up a wix filter with my Amsoil purchase. So far the car is running great

Do you have a model number for the Ford racing filter that fits the 5.0? I have not read any test results...Do you know of any reviews for that filter?
Thanks,
Phil

I emailed tech support at Royal Purple. They advised if the engine took a Motorcraft FL-500S, then their RP #20-500 would be the correct filter. Just not sure where to but one yet?
