I have the GT500 over axle pipes as well without the resonators and the exhaust is louder without them. But I dont know how the HT H-Pipe would be any better than the stock H-Pipe.

I wouldn't bother with that H pipe kit. No value for the dollar as far as power goes not to mention if you live in a state with emissions controls.

What does it have to do with emissions? It may not add power, but it's a clean way to eliminate the resonators.

The HearthThrob kit from American muscle attaches after the Cats so it wont mess with emmission (as far as i know). I dont think the resonators mess with emmissions, its only the sound that they change. Otherwise the GT500 which my over the axle pipes came off of wouldnt be 50 state legal for emmissions.

I think the main thing that makes the HT kit undesirable here is you would be paying for the H-Pipe and your car already has one. You can get just the Over the Axle pipes online for $299 but that is still very expensive for what you are getting.

I assume by "clean" you mean by not having to cut and weld your current setup. If thats the case then you may not mind spending $299 on pipes. One thing to consider though when you buy aftermarket parts like pipes for exhaust is the fitment. They may require some extra work to get them to fit correctly with no leaks. I saw on another forum where someone bought a FRPP X-pipe for their car from Ford and it didnt fit correctly and they went through several days of adjusting and eventually had to use some high heat silicone sealant to get rid of the leaks. In the same thread someone esle bought and aftermarket X-Pipe and it fit perfectly. So its kind of hit and miss with this stuff. Ill post the link to just the over the axle pipes below. I would still go by an exhaust shop and see what they would charge you to cut your resonators out and weld in some straight pipe just to see.

Edit for my previous post. This setup from American Muscle may not be a bad idea. Its actually 3" piping instead of the standard 2 3/4" stock piping. Which should reduce restriction and deepen the tone. But without hearing it installed first you may not be able to tell. Its got my interest peaked now but Im quite happy with my setup as is so I will probably pass. But since American Muscle offers free shipping and the Heartthrob setup looks very good it would probably be a good value compared to just buying the over the axle pipes for $299. I say go for it if you got the cheese and make sure to make a video for us so we can hear it and compare. This may be a good mod!

I think it would be good. I've read about fitment/adjustment & rattling issues though. They offer with & without resonators. My Roush axle backs are as loud as I need now. Thinkin'.
