Default Starter issues

I have a 86 block with a 157 tooth flywheel and a 4spd top loader bellhousing and I'm in need of a shorter starter to clear my headers. What mini torque? Or what starter will turn my flywheel I tried an 86 starter and it doesn't reach the flywheel ... And the starter I got with the bellhousing is to long to clear the header help!

After a little more research I think I have a 164 tooth bell housing... Is there a starter that is compatible with a 157 tooth flywheel and the 164 tooth bellhousing?

Sorry bud, you've posted this thread in the wrong section of the forums.

This sub-section pertains to the 2011-2012 Mustang GT's 5.0

Try this section:

https://mustangforums.com/forum/5-0l...95-mustang-14/

there is also a 5.0L sub-section of that forum as well
