Default New to forums...

Hi, I'm new to these forums and am contemplating on installing either a Supercharger or Turbocharger into my 2011 5.0 Mustang. Just wondering which way you guys would recommend that I go with this. Right now I am deployed, so when I return home I will have enough money to start beefing up my car. Any suggestions with with a reason why would be much appreciated. Thanks and hope to be talking with you all soon.

Welcome to MF! Supercharger vs. Turbocharger: depends on your goals, how much you're willing to spend, and your level of mechanical ability. You're definitely in the right place!

Thanks. I can turn a wrench or two but some things I need assistance with. Right now, all that I have done to my car is install a Steeda cold air intake and super 44 flowmasters. I have looked at prices for a SC and a TC and come out to be around the same. Just not sure which way to go.

Thanks for serving!! As far as power goes, what kind of power do you want? There are lots of factors, and both can have their pros and cons.

I think having a quick quarter mile but not taking away from top end would be good if possible....

On the front page there is talk of a TT setup. Maybe it will be out when you get back. Unless you have specific performance goals on the dyno or the track buy whatever the cheapest kit is that will keep your foot happy. Follow up with upgrades on tires and brakes though. What city are you at in SC?

Cool deal. I'm from Lexington, SC, but stationed in Alaska. However, I will be back in the south before long... my car doesn't like the snow and ice.
