330 miles for me so far. 17mpg doing 90% city. I'm still getting used to shifting earlier. I shift around 3K, but I know I could shift earlier with how much torque this car makes early.

My tank said 225 until empty when I filled up today I bought mine on Monday and the best it's seen was 14.8, but I have 3.73s and do 80-90 on the highway daily and do 50/50 street/highway. Atlanta drivers go too fast!

Today I tried to drive right to see what I could do.. It sucked I was getting passed left and right doing 60-70 and shifting before 2K holy crap it sucked. I got around 22-23 MPGS on the way to my location; 60 miles... Well by the time I left and got home I'm down to 19.3 lol.

Remember: Ford says you only get 402 with base nasty gas, so you need to invest in premium for 412HP lol.

Since my first post I've stopped looking at the the Avg MPG Meter on the dash. It was too distracting. I'm going to drive until it tells me to fill up and use both the car and a third party android app called Fuel Log to see what I come up with in terms of MPG.

Filled up the car 5 days ago, with 115 miles on this tank with about 90% city driving I'm showing 15.6 mpg.

If I work at it, I can get it down to 13-14.....and have a while lot of fun.

Oh.....I can also get 27 on the highway. All depends on how the right foot responds to brain input.

I took a trip yesterday to my wife's graduation on the other side of Ohio.

Total trip 365 miles.
Avg MPG City/Highway 24.3

I filled up at 6 miles to E so I squeezed it to the limit. I was impressed by the fuel economy on the way up, I peaked at 26.5 on the highway. After an evening and morning of awful city traffic, I managed to get it back up to 24.3. Those figures included me using every on ramp as a launch ramp.

All in all, I was impressed with the cars road trip performance. My only complaint was that my lower back was killing me after the trip. I suppose I could adjust my seat and fix that. Otherwise, the car was fantastic.

23.4 MPG's was what I got this morning 95% highway...although I met a gentlemen in a California special and did some "comparative driving."

Default Agree ... why bother?

Lookin at the wrong vehicle if fuel efficiency is important to you. Drive less, but drive hard.
With the large swings in gas prices, it's more useful to combine trips or skip a few meals out, than to measure efficiency and hunt for the lowest cost gas.

What's ironic is that most of us will mod our rides, resulting in even worse fuel economy, and these folks are often the same ones asking us all to share our mpg results with them :-) My opinions, only.

Now back our regularly scheduled performance mods threads...
