everyone is always saying what the best is but i want to know what to stay clear from. what exhaust out there creates that RICEY song, too high pitched noise. there are a ton of good deep exhausts. i just don't want to buy one that everyone agrees sounds horrible. so which brands are just bad and why?

 

also what is just so similar to stock, whats the point in spending the money kind of exhaust as well...

 

Kooks axleback as an "other". The axleback sounded halfway between stock and gt500 in volume. This is assuming all other systems are retained. They may work for the full kooks header back system, or for an O/R X pipe, but attached to the stock exhaust pipes it was weak, especially for the price.

 

I have heard Magnaflows chambered mufflers are quiet with stock midpipes, I have the Magnapacks though and they sound awesome.

 

bumping it up... any one else have opinions on exhaust that doesn't sound good?
