removing resonators?
Actually everyone has reported positive reviews for removing them. Makes it louder, but that's why they were removed. I haven't bit the bullet yet because of the trouble I've gotten in with hacking up my stock pipes in the past. Can't decide to go the cheap route or get the over-axle pipes from jpc.
No, I meant resonators.. I'm not a fan of exhaust systems that don't have resonators.. I've heard some with and some without on the 4.6s, I have resonators on mine and had them spaced differently on each side to help eliminate the drone that happens on the roush cat-back... No cats sounds great to me though..
I got the magnaflow comp cat back that deleted the resonators and it helped the sound out ALOT!!. I had a 06 gt before and they didnt have resonators on them. Unless you have them installed. Thats why the stock 3v's are louder then our stock 5.0L.
My '08 did not have resonators. I just put GT500's on my otherwise stock '13. Driven about 20 miles so far and I have found what I am looking for in this system. You can hear it while accelerating but it's no louder in the car than stock when speed is steady. Best of both worlds, in my opinion.

Removing mine with the GT500s introduced no drone whatsoever. It accounted for maybe 10-15% volume increase, and changed the sound slightly. I now get a some cool pops and gurgles when downshifting, etc. Not a ton, but just enough that the car doesn't sound stock. I would not personally want the car any louder. It sounds good, but is not "boy racer" loud.... Glad I removed the resonators.
