Default Exhaust Question

I currently have the pypes axle back on my 2012 Gt. I am thinking about purchasing the Pypes X-Pype from AM. How will this change the performance and sound?

It should make sound raspy and louder. Is this removing the cats or leaving them on?

Im leaving the cats but may remove the resonators. I think removing the cats would be too loud. What do you think about the resonators?

Removing the resonators will give you more sound like Muzner said, and it will also give you cabin drone.

I was running pypes with a UPR O/R X before I put headers on and that was super loud. Unless you go with a full x pipe I dont think you will see any performance gains

Depends what your into, could be considerd either or.....I liked it cause I couldnt hear my wife speak while in the car and traffic always got over to let you pass. And this was just when crusing in 6th at 2k RPM. When I put the longtubes on I went with high flow cats so it wouldnt get any louder and to try and keep it the same but it took some of the volume away.

I also plan on getting the cam tune. So IDK how that would work with cats

Been following this thread since you started some good info here. My current setup is obnoxious loud but the up side is it sounds like a real monster! What I wanted to chime in about is the cam tune. In order to run it you will need to remove the cats. If you don't the tune will actually ruin your cats! I don't have hard proof but it is what I was told by BAMA. So if your end result is the tune, work from e cats to the mufflers. If you remove the cats and get the tune, see how it sounds. If you want more drop the resonators. If your want more swap mufflers. Just one way you could go about it. Check out my thread if you want to hear my setup.
