Default Question about aftermarket axlebacks

I had a 2007 GT Automatic and promptly put a Borla catback exhaust on it and immediately fell in love not only with the agressive exhaust note when accelerating but equally and even more surprisingly, when slowing down, the sound of the engine when downshifting which was something you couldn't hear at all with the stock exhaust. Now that I have a 2013 GT Auto I'm shopping for exhausts and I'm wondering if any of the better aftermarket axle back exhausts will sound as good when the car is downshifting as the better catbacks can sound. Will you even hear the downshifting with the louder better brealthing axlebacks? Specifically I'm looking at either ther Roush axleback or the Ford Racing Sport axleback setups. Thanks!

I just installed the roush on my 13 and yes, you can here the burbling while coming to a stop. It's not that pronounced but it's there.

The roush sounds fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.
I engine brake just to listen to it all the time.

I have a '12 with Borla S types, & yes I get the burbling when I deccelerate. Love it. I have had more compliments on the exhaust of this car more than anything I have ever had. Got one today from a coworker.

If the Roush is louder than the Ford Racing SPort exhaust then I think I might just have to order the Roush! Thanks for all the replies!!

I rank roush 2nd loudest and outlaw the loudest as far as muffler style axle backs are concerned.

I actually wish the Roush was a bit louder but still sounds good in my opinion.

I have the Roush axle backs and love them. But, I am about to do either an off road X pipe or long tubes and I am afraid they will be too loud then.

If you're interested in selling your Roush, let me know. I may be interested...

Does anybody know if the Ford Racing GT500 exhaust does the same burble?
