Took delivery of my 13 GT premium, 6MT W/355 on Sat. Where should I spend the first $1000.00?

Either a CAI/tune or lower it with a good set of springs/shocks/struts.

My 2 cents

I'd go exhaust or put it towards wheels.

I'd go CAI/Tune and Exhaust. May cost you a little more than a grand but it would be well worth it. I had my CAI and tune 4 days after I bought my car. Exhaust was installed the following week. If you can I would go with an off road x-pipe too.

I am surprised no one is suggesting suspension upgrades as I did. That's the thing that is lacking the most on these cars.

I guess it all depends on what you want to do with the car as far as which mods to do first. I like to run mine at the drag strip and the street, so I'm not worried about how well the car takes turns at the moment. I will be adding some LCA's in a few weeks, and then tires. But I don't see where you can go wrong with a CAI and Tune as your first mod. Not as costly as some others and is well worth the $400-$500 spent depending on the CAI you get.

Right, like CrzyHrs said, It depends on your goals and what you want to do with the car. I only drag race my car so the best money was CAI+tune, O/R X and Drag radials. I think $600 for cai+tune, O/RX was $150 and Drag Radials were $400.. The boss intake and gears were a nice boost but not as good as those others.

Having a manual transmission you might not notice much out of the CAI+tune (or the CAI in general if you don't do exhaust).. anyway, biggest boost will be the Tune unless you do other mods, the CAI is worth it, but only if you do or plan on doing other mods in the future. If you were going to leave it like that then the 5ish horsepower you get now wont be worth it, the 10-15+ you get after opening up the exhaust+intake manifold is.
