I have a 2013 GT/CS auto with sync. Since it is a CS the spoiler did not allow a factory backup camera install. I do use my sync with my phone.
I see that AM has a backup camera license plate which also involves buying the rearview mirror to get the picture.

Can I install this in my car?
Where are the microphone for boothtooth located? In the factory mirror.
There is a cord attached to the mirror.

So can I install this, will it work or would I loose something?

 

I did a similar install in my car - I ended up opening the factory mirror and removing the circuit board and microphone. I then put the board in an antistatic bag and placed it behind the map light console.

 

I forgot to mention, the sensor for the compass is also located on the mirror circuit board.
