Muffler choice?

Muffler choice?
I've narrowed my choices down to two axle back kits. The Roush vs the GT500. I wish I could hear them in real life vs YouTube. Anyone have experience with these two kits? Looking for a nice deep sound with little or no drone.

I've had both mufflers on an otherwise stock exhaust. The Roush mufflers are MUCH louder than the GT500 mufflers. The GT500 mufflers didn't have the volume I wanted. Both have a nice deep sound, neither have any hint of drone at all on an otherwise stock exhaust.
With the Roush mufflers, you'll need to be conscious of attracting unwanted attention from the sound if you step on the throttle. With the GT500 mufflers, that won't be an issue.
Also, at almost every Autocross event I go to, I get compliments on how my car sounds with the Roush mufflers. Never got any compliments with the GT500 mufflers (though I only ran a few events before replacing them)

Both are great options if you still have the cats. But, if you remove the cats, the Roush becomes too loud. At least for me. I have an off road X and GT500's now and absolutely love it. The volume is similar to the Roush w/cats.

If you want your exhaust loud then get Roush. If you want a good clean sound that will turn head if you want to buy still be quiet then get the GT500. I was trying to choose between the same two. I had a friend that got a Roush and that sealed the deal. His car was loud! Even driving normal you could hear him and not see him. I have the GT500 and love them. All other exhaust is still stock. Thinking of removing the resonators cause everybody says it makes them sound even better without increasing the noise level.
Hope this helps.
