Default water leak issue?

I notice lately that my door sills are rather wet (like, puddles) after a car wash or heavy rain...the other day I opened the driver's door and got quite a bit of water out of the drain holes.

Is this a concern for repair, or just normal for these cars? Some water getting through the outer dew wipe and running down the inside of the door to the drain holes?

Thanks.

ps search sucks my bawls lately so don't go there. Thanks again.

Just how it's supposed to be. Your drain holes are working correctly and getting rid of the water that comes in past the window felt.

Don't worry, be happy!!!!

I get may car washed once a week and never have wet door sills (a car wash that pulls my car thru a wash with powerful water jets). I may have one or two drops at most. You might have something begining to be a problem.

The two drains in the bottom of each door are located directly above the sill plate. Your window felts will absolutely let some water by, if not your windows would be too tight and couldn't go up or down. All cars have door drains, Ford, GM, Chrysler; all of them. If you don't get a little water on the sills after a car wash you should remove the two black plastic drain caps and make sure they aren't clogged and holding some water. If your door drains are clogged and holding water you will eventually get rusting in the door bottoms. I removed my drain caps so I don't get a problem.

More like YOU have the beginning of a problem. Hear any splashing lately from the door area? Ever wonder why your windows are always wet when you roll them up?

Wet door sills are common.
Wet carpet is not.
Be glad your door drains are
not clogged and draining properly
instead of being clogged with debris
and trapping water with the door
sounding like a quart of water
is sloshing around inside it.
