aluminum driveshaft in auto=great mod!!
Hello all. Got my aluminum driveshaft put in and it is great. Really noticeable difference. I got a frpp m4602-g. The J model is for 5spd. Yes, I did have to reuse my factory yoke, not hard to change though.(if you know what you are doing). I paid $175 shipped for it from a guy here on the classifieds. NOS never used. Not only did it smooth the car out, it really accelerates better. Smoother and noticeably quicker get-up. Especially if you want to smoke 'em. Another cool thing is that it slows down faster when you let off the gas. Great for when you crest a hill and see johnny law. I would put this mod high on the list of first mods. Starting with stock car, if I had it to do again knowing what I know now, my order would be. 1. cobra brakes 2. Good lowering springs 3. 4.10 gears 4. dual exhaust 5. aluminum driveshaft6. K&N drop in/CAI (your preference) 7. plus size wheels/tires. Thats just my 2 cents.

8 lbs hmm....
i seem to remember someone with a bolt on GTsaid he lost ~10rwhp on the dyno when he changed his 17x9's to a heavier rim (6 lbs heavier per rim, so 12 lbs on the rotational mass total).

well its quite a bit of effort if u dont have access to a lift and especially if u have my exhaust set up with boxes in your drive shaft and have to drop the whole set up for access
