Default Got my wheels

I got my 03 Black Cobra wheels for my 94 GT. They look awsome, I'll get pictures sometime. There were two problems with them on my car though. First the back the wheels/tires came within 1/8 of an inch of rubbing on my quad shocks and a bracket holding my parking brake cable. Those will be fixed with my new control arms and shocks. The bigger problem is the front and when I turn my wheel not even all the way but most of the way they rub horribly and the car is not even lowered.

The front wheels could be rubbing for a few various reasons. The first could be the size tire you went with, do you know what size tire is on the wheels? Also, the rubbing could be caused by your suspension geometry being out of wack, such as if your alignment/caster/camber is off, or if any of your suspensionpiecesis worn out and in need of replacement.

The quad-shock problem is common when going to a wider tire on older Mustangs. Many people solve it by simply flipping the quad-shocks around to gain ample clearance. The best solution is what you are already doing though in upgrading the suspension.

255/40-17 is the correct tire size for 1994-1998. A trip to a good alignment/suspension shop should be able to determine the source of the problem. Something must be bent, worn, or out of wack for them to be rubbing like that.

Just got back from an alignment since I just put new springs and shocks on and they still rub when turning almost to full lock. I think it is on the sway bar as when I did the springs and shocks I noticed some rub marks

Is it a stock or aftermarket sway bar?

Stock sway bar as far as I can tell, I mean the car was stock when I got it would be weird if theyjust put an aftermarket swaybar on it. I know a few others running the same set up no problems...

That's why it is so odd. There should be no reason for them to be rubbing unless something is throwing the suspension geometry out of wack. What is the condition of the bushings on the sway bar?

Hmm, thats really odd...if everything is in spec, then there is no reason for them to be rubbing.
