I don't know of any plans at the moment, but I like the idea! Were you thinking about having the factory silver finish or something like Matte black, Gloss black, Chrome, etc..?

Let me know what you think!

I would really like a SBC (Special Brilliant Coating) or a full polish that is cleared over.

Chrome adds to much weight, unless you know of a long lasting light weight chrome finish.

now that I no longer have these wheels I support this idea.

I know you guys were kicking around the idea a long while ago.

Go to Craig's List. I always see people selling these in AZ. I typically see them for $400-800 depending on the tires and life left. Most stock wheels are really easy to find. It's trying to find a specific aftermarket wheel that fits your vehicle that is difficult.

I live in the small state of Delaware, finding something like this is near impossible. There are barely any s197 parts posted on craigslist as it is.

I am in Phoenix and we have over 5 million people so pretty much everything is always available. Being in smaller cities makes it tough for the secondhand market.

You know what I what just thinking, though: You could just reach out to him about Auto-X in your current setup...just even for a few tips. The dude is pretty nasty out there in Auto-X. When I was stationed up in DC the last few years, my Auto-X buddies would tell me they would see this dude clean house at some of the local SCCA events...like every time he came out lol.

Nyke,

I like this idea too. Although, a high polish will really only work on a high grade of aluminum. Let me see what I can do. Too bad chrome is so heavy!
