Default Drivers side mirror?

Neighbor was just knocking on my front door. his wife just came down the street and clipped the drivers side mirror. Broke it right off. Two things, has anyone replaced their mirror? How much did it run? How do I remove the mirror housing? It is just hanging there by the wire?
What do I need to take it off? Thanks for the help

i've replaced my passenger side, and had both apart to fix internal rattles.

they come off very easy, and for my replacement i used an aftermarket replacement from ebay (new, OEM style) and it was way cheaper than ford. to be honest, the damn thing moves more smoothly than the OEM mirror did LOL

pop the little cover off on the inside of the door (triangle shaped plastic piece). it just pulls straight off. then you'll see a couple nuts, and a plug for the wires that goes into the mirror.

really, its SUPER easy.

Well I got 2 of the nuts off, the last one is a pain. Don't have an open end wrench. No room to get a socket in there.
