For those of you who haven't been following my GT 500 for sale thread, several members have received the following scam message.... FYI

Good day,
I'm Interested in buying your advertised ( Mustang Car ) Well,I have
seen the advert and I think I'll like to contact the seller before I
can roceed.So i want you to email me some recent pics of it and also i
want you to get back to me with the actual price for it so as for me to
proceed with this transaction.So I'll be paying with a Certified Check
which was drawn from a United State Bank.So get back to me as soon as
possible with those informations Do get back to me on email (

ya i got one from this guy, replied to him, he wanted all my personal information, thank god i didn't give it to him, he added me to yahoo messenger and asked me why i didn't reply, i told him that i heard that he sent it to alot of other people and i thought it was a scam and he said i'm from scotland, but if you want a scam i can show you a scam, I was like what a freak and blocked him

For the last reply, when this scam bag told you he was from Scottland, you should have told him to lift his kilt so you could hang him by his @%&*$

I have gotten an email from that email address on my 85' Stang. Also got another scammer that seen my ad off of this site. Fortunatly for us they are pretty easy to recognize. RacingJunk.com and craigslist are both eat up with these type scammers. Just try to be careful and use your gut. If it makes you uncomfortable DO NOT PROCEED. Much better safe than sorry! I have contacted the FBI in regards to these matters and US law is powerless against these people. No overseas jurisdiction!!!!!

I also have a generic response email that I send to these people. If anyone is interested in it I will send it to you. Fairly vulger but I find it humerous and it definantly gets the point across.
