i had that same thing where it says slots full, but then says cd error when i try to eject. i took it apart thinking it had 6 cd-r's in it from the previous owner, but it was empty.

mine jus got stuck there was a spring missing,so i took it apart and took my cd's out and threw it out so now all i have is a radio till i upgrade lol.

Yes, but just like my last post says - you will get a popping noise everytime you turn it off or lower the vol to a min level. However I found a site in which seems to have found a workaround:
