Which Subs?
Im debating.. I have an 03 GT.. i currently have a 10" square Kicker box which had an old S10L7 in it that was already blown.. In my car i have a custom made 2x12" box with 2 ****ty bazooka 12"s in them.. im close to buying a new kicker S10L7 and calling it a day... Do you guys think I should buy the kicker or if you have any recomendation for 2 12's? I have a HiFonics 400.2 Amp right now.. Thanks.
most ill spend on a sub or 2 subs is probably 450... i listen to all kinds of music.. mostly rock and hiphop.. the box i built my self just barely fits in my trunk and i dont have much room for anything else.. unless i put the back seats down.. heh.. right now i have the subs facing towards my seats in my car.. im not sure if i should turn them around towards the trunk for a better sound?? anyway.. just something with a nice sounding bass is what im looking for. I just don't think my current bazookas are gona cut it. Thanks in advance for any help.
Go with Kicker if ur stickin with the amp you have now just power it to one L7 prolly go with a 12, and itll hit harder than if you go with 2 subs, because of the amp you have unless you want a bigger amp.... then get 2 L7's, one my friends has an L7 in his lexus in a ported box that literally takes up the whole trunk, an it hits harder than my 2 L5's....
i currently have a brand new box for a 10" L7 .. do you think one of those would do the trick? they are quite pricey and the one that was blown to hell still sounded decent when it was low.. are they really good quality speakers? they are pretty pricy for the 10" brand new... http://www.bizrate.com/marketplace/s...-11063096.html
**Edit** After a few more minutes of surfing I found them for alot cheaper... http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=20203
Also.. They way I have my amped connected Im sure is making the quality alot worse... I have some RCA adapter that i spliced into my rear speaker wire for my amp.. I mean it works but would getting a new head unit and the harness for the stock 460 system make a big difference in the way my subs sound as well as the indoor speaker quality?
