HID Colors
Ok so im thinking about getting an HID converson kit and i know what color i want my lights.. but i dont know what K that is rated.. does anyone know what K would go along with that dark blue u know its modded and are true HID look? is it 8000k or 10000k or wa?? im jsut looking for a darker blue a blue that will let everyone know im packin the HID's not the xenons anymore..
Anything over 7000K is retarded. The human eye is not capable of discerning contrast in the blue region nearly as well as yellow/green. You are severely limiting your eyesight and awareness.
If you're looking for attention, try getting it in a way that doesn't put others at risk.

Yeah, bluer light reduces the amount of information your brain can perceive.
Here is a horribly simplified example. The left is only red light, the middle is yellow light, the right is blue light. When you look at the blue, it should feel like someone turned the dimmer switch down.

A color temp around 6000K will retain much of the white scale contrast, but will look plenty blue to someone else on the road with you. You look at a hundred ~3500K lamps going down the road, you can tell the difference when a 5-6000K rolls up.
I got the HIDs for my last car on ebay from a seller named supervtec. His auctions have photos which are some of the better representations I've seen. They're actual idividual photos too, and not colorings of a single photo.
