Ipod?
Alpine CDA-9835...and KCA-420i.....only thing is though i have a 60GB ipod full of ALL types of music so i have a lot of playlists and the scrolling function on my HU is really slow in this older version...the newer ones are much faster....all the name brand companies offer ipod compatible HU though...if you don't want to replace the radio look at the harmon kardon or monster cable or scosche blue tooth set-ups...or you can also get a JL Audio cleansweep/Audiocontrol LC6 or whatever.....basically one of those signal processor adapter things....supposedly they equalize the factory sound and they also give you inputs for aftermarket amps, ipods/MP3 players, navi units, CD changers...and controlled through your stock HU...a lot of brands are coming out with them now....i recommend getting either a new HU with a dedicated ipod input...or one of the other things i mentioned....as i tried the FM transmitter before...complete crap....i tried the casette adapters before in my dad's F150...a little better but still hear the casette moving....so if you're looking for best sound quality look for something with a dedicated iPod input or a HU with an Aux input (which you can connect ANY mp3 player to)...make sure to convert your files to Apple Lossless to get very near CD sound quality...as compressed mp3s mask a LOT of the subtleties that you would pick up if the files were bigger......hope i helped

this is the cable that is easiest. plugs into the headphones and then input rca on your deck if it's aftermarket and it's only like $12.

yea i had that for a while...plugged into my AUX on my Alpine....negatives are you don't control the iPod from the radio and it doesn't charge it......i used to have a 15GB 3g iPod and this was a prob because it was 3 years old and didn't hold its charge...my new 60 GB keeps going and going and going though....lol....i'm actually thinking of switching back though because it's a lot easier to just scroll the ipod and pick songs myself since my Alpine is SO slow to load my playlists....also....i have it mounted in one of the cup holder mounts so if i wanted...i could play music vids while listening to the music when using the AUX input....unsafe yes...but cool to look at since i cant afford a REAL monitor/multimedia set-up
I haven't actually put it on my car, but I read a write up on it and I think I am going to buy the H&K Drive and Play. It doesn't make it so that you can use your HU to scroll, but it gives you a pretty good sized screen that is exactly like an iPod screen and has a control **** similar to the iPod. I am pretty sure it charges it too. It is $199.99 I believe. Not sure on install or if you do it yourself.
