I have a cobra, can't remember the model #, Ill check it in the morning. I use it all the time. I tested it with a cop friend, I picked him up on passive scan mode 5 miles away through trees, curves and small hills. The thing hasn't failed me yet.

PS. Tip from some cop friend. radar jammers dont actually work, the K/Ka and X Band freqs have small variant freqs in it that the radar guns 'hop' through, and a jammer cant get them all at once or synch them either, that came from a test I did with some friends. (Gotta love cop friends, they help you all the time:P)

Any of you have tinted windows?

Because I would love to get a radar detector, but I can get pulled over for other reasons such as "Noise" from my exhaust and the tinted windows, and I would hate to get a extra tac on for the radar detector sitting in my front windshield. The point it not to get pulled over, lol.

But like I said I can get pulled over for other reasons too, so I havent found it to enticing to put a detector in yet.

I paid $1200 for my dector/jammer and got a ticket last week. After he wrote the ticket and started his bike to leave, then it went off.

Only 2 places have "illegal" detectors... VA and Washington DC. The rest just see the detector and don't give you warnings if you get nailed. And I drive through VA with mine up all the time
