im looking to put a pioneer avic d2 in my 06 saleen, anyone add one of these? and if so, do i need to get a dashplate cover? or will the stock one work?
ive seen another 05-06 mustang with this unit in a picture and it looks like the dashplate has been changed? ive searchd all over and cant find a link,page to buy the dashplate

wow SOMEONE has money...lol if you buy it from Crutchfield they include all the trim pieces and harnesses you need to hook it up...as well as lifetime tech support.

this is the pic im referring too, to me this looks like a custom,or aftermarket plate surround? id like this anyone have any ideas ive tried searching ebay, and google, no luck

yea that definitely looks custom molded around the unit

 

that's custom fo sure.....metra's part#99-5520 i believe it does f150, mustang, freestyle etc....
it looks good in there and is easy to install...
